Keyshot
Ikbenstil Workstations for Keyshot and Keyshot's recommended system requirements, with the most recent hardware components.
Keyshot Workstations
Light Keyshot system
KeyShot is primarily CPU-based but supports GPU mode via RTX. High clock speed for fast interactive previews.
Rendering server for animations and large product scenes
Keyshot CPU Render Workstation with 64 CPU cores that can be expanded to 96 cores. The system can be equipped with two VGA cards.
Workstations for Keyshot GPU and CPU render
Like most software makers, Keyshot also has an overview of minimum system requirements. This recommendation is not a guarantee for an optimally functioning high-end workstation, but provides the absolute minimum requirement. The official information provided by software producers is not always up-to-date, and often lags behind hardware development which is progressing at breakneck speed. Therefore, Ikbenstil Computers equips these Keyshot Workstations with the most current and useful and balanced hardware for the program’s operation.
The hardware:
Processor (CPU): For a long time, Keyshot was a processor-oriented rendering program; this has recently changed with the advent of GPU rendering functionality. Keyshot scales linearly, making the Threadripper PRO 7995WX the fastest when rendering only on the processor. When rendering on the graphics card, the CPU becomes less important and with a single GPU an Intel Core or AMD Ryzen processor is sufficient.
The graphics card (GPU) If you render with Keyshot only on the CPU, the GPU is less important, but since Keyshot has made the much faster GPU rendering possible, a good Nvidia card is a must, starting with the GeForce RTX 5080 16GB, to the RTX 5090 32GB with lots of VRAM, and in the large case two can be placed side by side. For the very heaviest applications, the RTX PRO 6000 96GB is the choice. The form factor of this Ada card is designed so that four can even be placed side by side.
Memory (RAM) For the standard Keyshot Workstation we recommend 64GB, and for demanding users rendering on the CPU, 256GB is recommended. When rendering on the GPU, 128GB of RAM is recommended.
Storage Primarily, we recommend a fast 1TB NVMe SSD for the Keyshot Workstations. And for data storage a regular SATA SSD or for large volumes HDDs, a file server or NAS.
