Metashape Workstations
With our solid hardware knowledge, our customers and the advice from Agisoft, we have compiled an optimal Metashape Workstation for you. Recommended system requirements for Metashape Agisoft is limited in its hardware recommendations for Metashape. Therefore, Ikbenstil Computers has conducted research and with this Metashape Workstation, equipped with the most current and useful and balanced hardware for the operation of the photogrammetry program, we have arrived at an ideal solution.
The hardware:
Processor (CPU): The Ikbenstil Metashape Workstation is based on the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor; there are many different processes in this photogrammetry software, one process is single threaded and another is multi-threaded, which makes this Core Ultra 9 the best choice, very fast and many processor cores. A user tip: If you work in Metashape in combination with your powerful GPU, which you have also selected in the Metashape Preferences, then it is recommended to adjust the “Processor affinity” in task manager on metashape.exe to approximately 50% of the available cores; this prevents program errors. You can optionally also achieve a good result with the fastest AMD Ryzen processor, which we can optionally offer you.
The graphics card (GPU) The graphics card is very important for Metashape; the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 16GB is an excellent choice. The RTX 5090 32GB is the fastest and most powerful GPU and can be optionally offered. The use of AMD Radeon GPUs is not recommended.
Memory (RAM) Metashape makes intensive use of working memory when working with the highest resolution files; we assume this is the case and therefore we recommend 128GB. If you want a system with more memory, you can contact one of our specialists, who can offer you a custom solution.
Storage For the operating system and programs, we choose a fast primary NVMe SSD. And for ongoing projects a secondary SSD. Of course, storage for content is also needed, this can be on an SSD or optionally large volume HDDs, file server or a NAS.
