Enscape is a real-time rendering and virtual reality plugin. It is mainly used in architecture, engineering and construction. And works with design programs such as Vectorworks, Rhinoceros 3D, ArchiCAD, Revit and Google SketchUp. It uses real-time raytracing for realistic presentations of your 3D designs. Like most software makers, Enscape also has brief hardware recommendations, largely only about the graphics card and then also for the minimum requirement; to complete the total picture, much more is needed. The hardware:
Processor (CPU): The Ikbenstil Enscape Workstation is based on an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor; for Enscape, speed and the number of cores are less relevant, but for multitasking with the other programs you work with, this is certainly important. Then a high clock frequency and a large number of processor cores apply; optionally, an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K is worth considering.
The graphics card (GPU) The graphics card is very important for Enscape; the NVidia RTX 4000 20GB Ada Generation is the designated line in terms of price and speed ratio. The RTX PRO 5000 48GB is the fastest and most powerful GPU; this can be useful in combination with other programs.
Memory (RAM) For the Enscape Workstation we recommend at least 64GB; that is not specifically for Enscape, which uses hardly any RAM, but more for the other software on the workstation.
Storage For the operating system and programs, we choose a fast primary NVMe SSD. And for ongoing projects a secondary SSD. Of course, storage for content is also needed, this can be on an SSD or optionally large volume HDDs, file server or a NAS.
