Naviera Living Stone
The DP3 'Living Stone' is in a class of its own and the most advanced vessel in the world for laying and trenching subsea cables. The vessel is equipped with two turntables below deck, each with a cable capacity of 5,000 tonnes, and can lay cables faster and more efficiently over longer distances and with fewer connections at sea than any other cable installation vessel in the world.
Living Stone. Impressive vessel with impressive capabilities. The Living Stone lays deep-sea cables in such a way that they cannot easily be sabotaged. In addition, the Living Stone also performs transport tasks and assists with wind turbine parks and construction projects.
Ships are always a challenge for computers. These machines are exposed to a very special working environment from fluctuating power supply to environmental and weather conditions. Ikbenstil supplies, among other things, Qinsy Servers for this vessel that process survey planning, acquisition and real-time hydrographic data.
The vessel is equipped with a helicopter deck, fall pipe subsea installation system, inclined subsea installation system and a 600-tonne crane. The total cargo capacity is 12,500 tonnes.
The Living Stone can carry two carousels of 5,000 tonnes each installed below deck. On deck (approximately 3,500 m²) modular cable systems can be installed, remotely operated robots (ROV - remotely operated vehicle) for underwater work and the pipe system for dredging works. A deck crane can lift objects weighing up to 600 tonnes and assist with construction or demolition work on oil platforms, port construction and the like.
