The production process of concrete has a major CO2 problem for which we need a solution and Urban Mine is one of few companies that has it.
Urban Mine is a circular economy company that recycles concrete to high quality. Urban Mine has been doing this for 15 years and is a beautiful example of how innovation and caring for the only earth we have can go excellently together.
After all, concrete is an indispensable material for buildings, of which we have far too little. By recycling the material, an 80% reduction in emissions is achieved whilst the quality remains 100%. That can make the difference whether or not construction can take place.
So super smart company, but we’re not there yet: take Amsterdam, where the quay walls of the canals need to be repaired. That is a drama for the city because everyone who knows Amsterdam knows what it’s like in the canal belt in terms of traffic when the construction workers are at work.
Except if you do it from the water. And that is another invention that distinguishes Urban Mine in terms of innovation and ingenuity in everything they do.
